How They Croaked takes you through several individual’s deaths and provides what lead up to it and how they died. From kings and queens, inventors, to scientist, there are many individuals to read about. If you have sensitive tummy, this may not be the book for you. Bragg’s organizes her book from mummified kings in Egypt, to explorer’s, to European kings and queens, to U.S. Presidents, and skilled scientist. The book is organized with an illustration of the individual, a tombstone of there birth, death, and age. Bragg’s gives a brief description of each individual’s life before providing the grueling details of their death.  Facts are then provided after each individual and how they relate.  Lessons can be taught about researching individuals and properly citing works for older children and adolescents.
